Koftas


Egyptian Beef Koftas

Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time:  15 mins


ingredients
 2 lb ground beef
2 onions, chopped
1 slice of sweet bread
1/2 cup Milk

 salt and pepper
1/2 teaspoon of cumin
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1 pinch of allspice
6 metal skewers or bamboo

Instructions:

  1. If using bamboo skewers, soak in water for at least 1 hour.
  2. .If you can, run the meat and onions in a meat grinder twice. If you do not have a grinder, pulse the onion in a food processor until finely chopped, then add the meat and stir until it reaches a very fine consistency. Place them in a bowl.
  3. Soak bread in milk and add to the meat with seasonings.
  4. Mix well and form meatballs in football in the form of 2-3 inches in diameter. About 2 or 3 meatballs on each skewer should take. You can make right onto skewers.
  5. Grill on skewers until cooked.
