Between the magic of words received the first of a child by a parent pleased with the attention and when the child grows, the real communication is sometimes lost. It is not uncommon for parents to feel frustrated as their toddler or preschool has selective hearing and not listening to a word they say.

What happened between the time of non-communication, and this miraculous moment of birth, not so long ago (when a mother sang to her newborn baby, talking softly, communicating in oldest way known to mankind)? How communication occur? How do speaking and listening to develop, and there is nothing we can do to improve communication skills and get the baby talk in our homes?
