morning sickness



Try these natural remedies in dealing with morning sickness;


*      For more than fifty percent of American women the joy of celebrating a bun in the oven is followed a few weeks later by morning sickness. What is morning sickness? Morning sickness is the body's response to increased hormone production resulting in nausea and sometimes vomiting. Although called "morning" sickness experience of many Mamas and vomiting at different times of the day, and can identify a certain time of the day it is the worst. For most women, morning sickness occurs in the first trimester of pregnancy began about the sixth week and usually resolve by the end of the first quarter. If you find yourself experiencing nausea before the sixth week of pregnancy or if you are still in your nausea second quarter




*       you're not alone! A handful of women have very sensitive systems and often have symptoms of morning sickness outside the "normal" timeline. Remember that it is quite normal and many experts believe that this is a sign of a healthy pregnancy. *        Eat before getting out of bed ... Keep a box of healthy, easy to digest crackers on your bedside table, eating some crackers in bed before starting to rise, 15-30 minutes is the best beforehand.
    Out of bed, as a grandmother ... Try getting up in phases. Go completely horizontal from a little sitting with pillows behind you, then sit completely on the edge of the bed for a few minutes, finally get up and move into your morning routine SLOWLY. Getting out of bed should have a minimum of five minutes!
  
*        Make ginger and mint your new favorite flavors ... Ginger and peppermint are both excellent ways to fight against nausea. Add ginger to your daily diet by consuming ginger confit, all-natural ginger ale, ginger tea, or recipes using fresh ginger as the main ingredient. Mint is easy to get your hands on: Altoids (keep on you all the time), fresh mint leaves muddled in your water, gum and peppermint.
  
*        Eat small, large drink ... Health and well-balanced meals are exactly what you need during pregnancy, just eat smaller portions more often to aid digestion. Avoid overflow to help reduce your risk of vomiting. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Try to stay hydrated between meals, not during. Get a glass or water bottle stainless steel and keep it with you at all times. Most women should drink at least 72 ounces of water per day. Getting enough fluids is essential, especially if you vomit!
   
*       Perfection prenatal vitamin ... Prenatal vitamins are a must during pregnancy, but can make nausea worse because of the high content of B vitamins (known to cause stomach upset). Try a different brand of prenatal vitamins that is "good for the stomach. Also, try taking your vitamins during the day you feel better, and always take them with food!
    Snag some bands from the sea ... Sea bands are simply a cotton strap with a plastic cord attached. They put pressure on an acupuncture point used to treat nausea.
   
*       Inhale soothing scents ... Many women find instant relief from nausea by smelling, lemon, peppermint, or lavender. Keep handy baggies with slices of lemon, or a cloth moistened with a few drops of peppermint oil or lavender smell away!
    Other ideas ... Preggie pops, sucking lemon slices, popsicles, consulting a professional vitamin therapy or acupuncture.
